49er, Raider Legends Support Stockton Police Charity Game
Veterans of the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders turned out to support the Stockton Police Youth Activity League Sunday for the department's 8th annual fundraising basketball game.
Former 49ers three-time Super Bowl champion lineman Bubba Paris and Raider defensive legend Ben Davidson were among the stars who took part in the charity game at Delta College Sunday. The Oakland Raiderettes were also on hand to entertain the crowd.
Stockton police Det. Joe Silva said proceeds from the event go to support SPYA efforts to bring sports and group activities to Stockton youth. Programs supported by Sunday's game include the Junior Giants baseball program, youth boxing program, and the Stockton Police Junior Cadet Program.
