The Oakland Raiders, or the "three-ring circus"
travel to Buffalo and take on the resurgent Bills who are having their best season in 16 years.
This game is critical for coach Lane Kiffin who still could be fired at any moment by owner Al Davis. Although Kiffin is coming off a big win in Kansas City against the Chiefs, this game could be his last on the sidelines with the Silver and Black.
"There are certain things I can control, there's certain things I can't,"
said the 33-year-old Kiffin, who has been at the helm for 18 games. "This happens to be the next one. (Davis) has a decision to make. It does me no good to worry about it right now."
Former Stanford quarterback Trent Edwards has led the upstart Bills and is fourth in the AFC with a 107.7 passer rating and has yet to throw an interception.
Buffalo hasn't won its first three games since a 4-0 start in 1992 when the Bills were in their run of four consecutive Super Bowl appearances.
The Raiders have a few question marks at running back. Rookie Darren McFadden suffered "turf toe"
after rushing for 164 yards on 21 carries against the Chiefs.
Justin Fargas also has a strained groin, which he sustained in a non-contact injury on a pass route.
That means Michael Bush, who had 16 carries for 90 yards including a 32-yard touchdown run last week, might be the man to run the ball against a Bills defense that has yet to allow a 100-yard game to an opponent.
"It's crazy,"
said Bush who didn't get any playing time in 2007 as a rookie. "Last year, I was like, 'Man, am I not doing something right or what was it?' Now, they throw the whole playbook at you."
"You just have to stay prepared and know what you're doing when it's your time."
