Bush "in great spirits"

One of the things that Hue Jackson mentioned this week was that he had talked to Michael Bush. Bush was arrested two weeks ago in Indiana for driving under the influence. The running back, who owner Al Davis is very high on, is expected to be a restricted free agent whenever there is a new CBA.

"I know there was a little hiccup there,," Jackson said, "but that's part of the process and that will run its course and take care of itself, but Mike's in great spirits and looking forward to playing for the Raiders."

Tom Cable said Friday that he's happy in his new job as assistant head coach and offensive line coach of the Seahawks.

But Cable remains proud of what he did as head coach of the Raiders, with whom he had a 17-27 record (including a 4-8 mark as interim coach in 2008) before being fired after an 8-8 finish in January. He's also appreciative of the support he has received from several of his former Raiders players.

"We had it going in the right direction," Cable said at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Now, working in Seattle allows the California native to be near Snohomish, Wash., where he attended high school, and he's thrilled to be part of the high-energy atmosphere that Pete Carroll began building when he took over the Seahawks' helm last year.
