NFL: San Diego 28, Oakland 14
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 14 LaDainian Tomlinson rushed for four touchdowns Sunday, powering the San Diego Chargers to a 28-14 victory over the Oakland Raiders.
Tomlinson, who finished the day with 198 yards, had just 329 yards and two touchdowns for the season before this game. Tomlinson has passed past John Riggins as No. 5 all time for ground scores with 106, as well as 10th all-time in overall touchdowns with 118.
Also for San Diego (3-3), which has won two straight and its last eight games against Oakland, quarterback Philip Rivers went 14-for-21 with 156 yards and an interception. Antonio Gates had three catches for 58 yards.
Daunte Culpepper completed 24 of 37 passes for 230 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for the Oakland Raiders (2-3). Ronald Curry had six catches for 73 yards.
